Dust Removal System for copper induction melting furnace

During the smelting process, the induction furnace generates a large amount of smoke and dust, along with hazardous gases such as CO and fluorides, which cause severe air pollution and are one of the major sources of atmospheric environmental contamination. At the same time, a significant quantity of dust is released, severely polluting the operating environment in the workshop, affecting the physical and mental health of workers, as well as the ambient air quality around the plant.

In order to improve the working environment of copper induction melting furnace for workers, protect their physical and mental health, and enhance the air quality both inside and outside the plant premises, while ensuring that normal operation of workers is not hindered and the collected dust can be effectively recovered, our company's technical personnel have designed a dust removal system for copper induction melting furnace that features a simple structure, cost-effectiveness, and practical efficiency.

Structural forms of induction furnaces:
Induction furnaces can be divided into coreless (crucible-type) furnaces and channel (slot-type) furnaces.

In a channel induction furnace, the inductor is connected to the furnace body by a flange. It can be regarded as a transformer, consisting of one or more primary coils wound around a closed ferromagnetic core and a short-circuited "secondary winding." The current in the primary coil of the inductor generates a varying primary electromagnetic field passing through the core; the "secondary winding" is actually the inductor channel (melting channel) filled with molten iron. The channel is covered with refractory material on the outside, and a very high short-circuit current is induced in the molten iron in the channel. The generated heat energy (Joule heat), through the eddy currents produced by electromagnetic force and the effect of thermal rise, drives the high-temperature molten iron in the inductor channel to conduct heat to the molten iron in the furnace. This working principle is more energy-saving, and this is the main advantage of the channel induction furnace compared with the crucible furnace.
