igbt induction furnace:Variable-Frequency Power Supplies Using IGBT Modules

When an IGBT variable-frequency power supply of igbt furnace is connected to an induction furnace, the hybrid LCL topology in the load circuit has become dominant. This combines the main advantages of series and parallel resonant circuit technologies. Like the parallel resonant circuit using a thyristor inverter, the LCL load topology of the IGBT inverter can only provide the active power of the furnace at the rated point, rather than being a pure series resonant circuit.

Each IGBT variable-frequency power supply of igbt furnace (consisting of one or more rectifiers and one or more inverters) is connected through an additional coupling choke (inductor) to a parallel resonant circuit composed of the furnace and the capacitor bank. The coupling chokes (inductors) are not used to commutate the current from one diagonal to the other, and therefore are not commutation chokes (inductors). Instead, they are required to filter the block-shaped, converter output voltage and the sinusoidal voltage of the furnace capacitor bank. In the case of parallel switching of modules, each inverter is connected to the load through its own coupling choke (inductor).

In induction heating, IGBT systems of igbt furnace can now provide up to 6000 kW. At high power outputs, thyristor variable-frequency power supplies are usually the more economical solution.
